The Clergy

Charles Blauvelt, RectorEpiscopal priests lead and oversee the life of the congregation in worship, education, prayer, fellowship and service.  They "equip the saints for the work of ministry" through their unique role in presiding over the sacraments:  principally Baptism and Eucharist, but also Marriage, Reconciliation (Confession),  and Anointing of the sick.  They also preside at services of Christian Burial.

Deacons assist priests and bishops by taking on a Grace Burson, Curate, preaching at the Easter Vigilparticular ministry among the needy, sick, and marginalized.  They serve in worship by reading the Gospel, preaching, and setting the table.  Deacons are called to interpret the world and the church to each other through prayer, study and service.

In addition, the Bishop visits the congregation at least once every two years to administer Confirmation, and also whenever there is an ordination.
