Transition

Grace Church is in a period of transition.

Our Rector, the Rev. Charles Blauvelt, suffered a health crisis in late 2009 that led to his resignation effective January 1, 2010.  Temporary assistance was provided by the Right Rev. Donald Hart, retired bishop of Hawaii.  As of March 1, 2010, our Interim Rector is the Rev. Darrell Huddleston.

Over the next six months, the parish will engage in a process of self-study to define how we understand ourselves, our mission, and our goals for the immediate future.  Based on these conclusions, the vestry will receive names of possible candidates, interview them, and choose the candidate to call as our Priest-in-Charge.

The Priest-in-Charge will serve for a fixed term, most likely of three years.  At the end of the term, she/he and the parish will mutually discern whether the Priest-in-Charge will become our next Rector.
